ALERT – Microsoft security update affects Traverse 10.5

Microsoft recently released a security update that adversely affects MS Office and SQL Server programs.  This means that your TRAVERSE 10.5 software may cease to work once the security update is downloaded.

Because instances as this has occured in the past, we recommend that those using programs that utilize MS Access and/or SQL Server programs TURN OFF the automatic Microsoft updates and install them on a planned basis.  That way, there are no unpleasant surprises just before you’re trying to print Payroll or Accounts Payable checks, process sales invoices, etc.

To learn more about the Microsoft security update, visit http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms12-027.
